ETI president Alex Krulikowski  has been voted to serve as vice chair of ASME Board on Standardization & Testing (BST).

The ASME BST handles the management and supervision of the dimensional, design, application, drafting, and performance test codes and miscellaneous standards activities of the Society, as designated by the Council on Codes and Standards. The standards developed by groups managed by the board are intended to be submitted to the American National Standards Institute to become American National Standards.

The election took place in March, and Alex will serve in this capacity for three years.

Alex Krulikowski’s latest ETImail has been published. The featured article, ”How Similar are the Y14.5 1994 and Y14.5 2009 Standards,” is part one of a three-part series and it includes a downloadable chart that highlights the major differences between the standards.

Alex Krulikowski is giving a presentation on “ Surface or Axis Interpretation for Position Tolerances at MMC” at the 2012 ASME Y14 committee meeting in San Diego this week.
