1. Set Datums
In your book "FUNDAMENTALS OF GEOMETRIC DIMENSIONING AND TOLERANCING". On page 146 figure 6-1 you show the ways to specify a axis as a set datum. On my drawings created using PTC's Pro/Engineer software I would prefer to use either option B or C for showing a set datum as a hole axis. But Pro/Engineers software tells me that I can only use option A. It then refers me to the ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard page 43 figure 3-4. In this figure I do not see any options that look the same as B and C in your book. Witch list of options is correct?

The ASME Y-14.5M-1994 std does allow option B or C shown on page 146 fig 6-1 in Alex's textbook even though it does not show these options in figure 3-4 of the standard. These options are stated in section 3.3.2 paragraphs d and f, found on page 41 of the standard.
